She’s covered almost every breaking news story of the past 10 years, from local and national elections to the latest on-the-ground news in Iraq. So what keeps this new mom (of twins!) looking great on-the-go? Read on for her beauty must-haves.
So tell us, what’s in your cosmetic bag?
My must haves! MAC blot powder (so much better than touching up with regular powder. You don’t get that caked on look), Loreal’s voluminous mascara (I’ve tried them all and keep coming back to this one. My second favorite is Lancome Definicils), Yves Saint Laurent Touch Eclat concealer (I am OBSESSED with this stuff), NARS blush in Orgasm because it is the perfect shade and looks great on every complexion, MAC lip liner in Spice and Nice ‘n’ Spicy (which is a little bit more pink) and MAC lipstick in Syrup.
Also, I usually carry lip gloss. Right now I’m loving Too Faced lip gloss in Sex Pot. Plus I always have gum and lotion. You can’t ever get caught with bad breath or dry skin!
What are you longing to add to your cosmetic bag?
I was over at the NARS counter at Saks not long ago and their fabulous makeup artist, Cristina, showed me some beautiful eye shadows that I would love to try. I pretty much stick to neutrals and browns on my eyes with an occasional punch of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Bronze.
Where are you favorite places to buy goodies for your cosmetic bag?
I love them all; Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks. Ulta and Sephora are fun, too, depending on what I am looking for. When I’m buying makeup, I like to work with the makeup artists I know because I don’t want to waste money on colors that I won’t end up wearing. That drives me crazy!
What is your favorite spa splurge?
Creme de la Mer. Oh, and Jo Malone candles. The fun part of getting pretty is creating a great atmosphere!
