For the love of hair, you gotta catch this! The 2011 Supreme Salon Tour Hair Wars Runway Show returns to the Valley this Sunday at the W Hotel Scottsdale. Hosted by BRAVO’s Shear Genius finalist Ben Mollin, top-notch local salons will take to the catwalk to showcase their creative talent in the ultimate hair competition. Ten Valley salons will be competing for the coveted national title of Supreme Salon.
Guests are invited to have their picture taken by fashion photographer Alex Goykhman, who will be snapping pictures of the eccentric hair styles coming down the runway at the rooftop of the W.
Each salon will feature its own theme, routines and distinctive hair styles that best represent their artistic abilities. Judges include stylist Ethan Murray, clothing designer Angela Johnson and a surprise local guest judge.
Salons participating in this year’s Hair Wars include: Ohana Salon & Spa, Studio 3-26, Saints & Scissors, Beauty by Veronica, Mila Salon & Spa, Elysium Salon, Hair in High Definition, Sleeping Beauty Salon, Salon Surreal and Ramon Bacaui Salon. The top three salons will compete in Las Vegas for the chance to win the Supreme Salon title and a cash prize.
Guests who arrive between 5 and 6 p.m. will receive complimentary entry with an event invite that can be picked up at any of the participating salon locations. Plus, the first 200 guests who arrive before 6 p.m. will have the opportunity to register for a runway show seat. The event is limited to guests 21 years of age or older.
