It’s back! The 2011 smartwater presents Summer Spaaah Series is breezing back into town for our sixth exciting season. Cooling off the Valley during our scorching summer months, the events bring together luxury, fun and value. We’re pulling out all the stops with six of Arizona’s top spas including a road trip to Sedona for our first-ever destination event at an award-winning retreat.
Produced by Arizona Spa Girls and benefiting Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, these events unite wellness seekers with local spas during the off-season and offer the perfect excuse to chill out and support a great cause!
The 2011 dates and destinations include:
- May 6: Agave, The Arizona Spa at Westin Kierland Resort, Scottsdale
- June 3: Spa Avania at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch
- June 17: Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa at The Wigwam, Litchfield Park
- July 8: Revive Spa at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort, Phoenix
- July 30-31: Mii amo, a destination spa at Enchantment Resort, Sedona
- August 12: Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort
Tickets to the resort events are $125 and include an evening reception with cocktails and delicate tastings of the chefs’ picks, a keepsake tote bag valued at more than $200, charity raffle and mini spa services. Event guests will also receive a “Spaaah” certificate valid toward one full spa treatment and use of the spa amenities on day of their choice within 30 days after the event.
Tickets to the Mii amo destination spa weekend start at $295 and are all inclusive of one night’s luxury accommodations, a welcome brunch, spa treatment including gratuity, wine tasting, sunset yoga, gift tote, full use of the resort and spa amenities, taxes and resort fees.
A percentage of each ticket sold and a portion of sponsorship dollars go directly to Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. Fresh Start is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women through the services of the Jewell McFarland Lewis-Fresh Start Women’s Resource Center in Phoenix.

At the heart of the Series is the mission to bring spa destinations and local residents together while helping out a great cause. Since 2006, the summer spa events have been named the Phoenix New Times “Best Way to Get Pampered for a Good Cause” and received numerous awards from International Festivals and Events Association-endorsed APS AzTEC Awards including 2007 Event of the Year (for events under 20K participants).
